NCCC tops two MD JUCO opponents

Niagara County Community College swept a pair of MD JUCO opponents over this past weekend, improving its record to 7-0 on the young season. The Thunderwolves are next in action at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday when they host Finger Lakes Community College.

Niagara CCC 122, Howard CC 48

Sophomore Kenetria Redfern had a game-high 33 points along with eight rebounds and five steals in the lopsided win. Classmate Shilah Parker finished with a triple-double - 27 points, 10 boards and 10 assists. She also had five steals. Freshman Paige Emborsky recorded 20 points and six assists, freshman Caitlynn Snook added 13 points and six boards off the bench and fellow first-year forward Molly Mahony stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and five steals.

Niagara CCC 114, Allegany College of Maryland 23

Parker had another strong outing, tallying 23 points, eight assists, six rebounds and five steals. Emborsky netted 21 points and Redfern finished with 19 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and six steals. Freshman Aubrey Halloran had 16 points, seven boards and four blocks, while sophomore Cori Dickson chipped in with 13 points, six assists and four steals.
