Fourth-quarter push sends NCCC past Tribunes

Niagara County Community College out-scored host Monroe Community College 22-11 in the decisive fourth quarter on its way to a 71-60 Western New York Athletic Conference road win on Saturday afternoon. The No. 12 Thunderwolves are now 25-0 overall and 6-0 in WNYAC play. No. 17 MCC drops to 12-5, 4-2.

Freshman Aubrey Halloran led NCCC with 16 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore Kenetria Redfern had 14 points and 14 rebounds, including nine points and five boards in the deciding period. Freshman Paige Emborsky added 14 points and five rebounds and sophomore Shilah Parker contributed 12 points.

Next up for the T-Wolves is a home date with Genesee Community College. Tip is set for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
