NCCC has season end at Nationals

Niagara County Community College dropped a pair of games as its season ended at the NJCAA Div. II Tournament in Harrison, Arkansas this past week. The fifth-seeded Thunderwolves, who finished the year with a 31-2 record, were making their first National Tournament appearance after bringing home the first Regional title in school history.

Sinclair CC 74, Niagara CCC 73

Freshman Aubrey Halloran had 22 points and 10 rebounds for the T-Wolves, who were out-scored 29-16 in the fourth quarter. Classmate Paige Emborsky had 15 points and six boards and sophomore Shilah Parker finished with 14 points, eight boards and six assists.

Moraine Valley CC 74, Niagara CCC 59

Sophomore Kenetria Redfern finished her career as Thunderwolf strong, netting 28 points to go with nine rebounds and seven steals. NCCC, though, could not overcome a 4-for-30 effort from the 3-point line.
