NCCC picks up road win at Frederick CC

Niagara County Community College began the third quarter on a key 16-4 run en route to an 86-67 road win at Frederick Community College on Saturday afternoon. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 9 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, are now 7-0 overall on the year.

Sophomore center Aubrey Halloran had a season-high 25 points to lead the Thunderwolves, who shot over 52 percent from both the field and the 3-point line. Classmate Cierra Harrison had her best game of the year as well, finishing with 16 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore guard Paige Emborsky also netted 16 points, while sophomore point guard Nickelle O'Neil stuffed the stat sheet with nine points, eight assists and seven steals. 

Next up, NCCC travels to Finger Lakes Community College for a non-conference matchup prior to the Thanksgiving break. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
