Niagara County Community College shook off the rust from a nearly month-long break to down host Jefferson Community College, 79-52, in Region III action on Wednesday night. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 8 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, are now 15-0 overall.
Sophomore wing Cierra Harrison led the T-Wolves with 17 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Freshman guard Alaina Forbes had 16 points and four steals off the bench and sophomore guard Paige Emborsky canned four 3-pointers on her way to 12 points and five assists. As a team, NCCC finished with 24 assists on 33 field goals.
Next up for N-Trip is a pair of road games against Region III foes Herkimer College and Fulton-Montgomery Community College. NCCC visits Herkimer at 4 p.m. Saturday and FMCC at 1 p.m. Sunday.
