Niagara County Community College won a pair of games at this past weekend's annual NCCC Tip-Off Classic. The Thunderwolves, who moved up to No. 12 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, are now 5-0 overall. Next up is a home date with Kalamazoo Valley Community College at 1 p.m. Nov. 16.
Niagara CCC 97, SUNY Broome 46
All-Tournament selection Alaina Forbes scored a game-high 20 points off the bench as the Thunderwolves began the second half on a 20-0 run. Tournament MVP Paige Emborsky finished with 17 points, four assists and four steals and fellow sophomore Aubrey Halloran chipped in with 14 points and seven rebounds.
Niagara CCC 100, Bryant & Stratton (Albany) 39
Emborsky led the way with 20 points as the Thunderwolves built up a 55-18 halftime lead. Forbes had 18 points and four steals, sophomore Molly Mahony contributed 16 points and six boards and all-tournament choice Nickelle O'Neil had seven of the team's 27 steals.
