Niagara County Community College began Western New York Athletic Conference play with a hard-earned 70-35 road victory at Monroe Community College on Saturday afternoon.
The Thunderwolves improved to 17-3 overall and 1-0 in WNYAC play, while the Tribunes fell to 2-8, 0-1.
NCCC sophomore Alaina Forbes had 13 points and five assists and freshman Brianna Beebe notched 10 points and five rebounds.
The freshman point-guard tandem of Kiya Marquez and Aichata Ballo split 18 points for the T-Wolves, who forced 28 turnovers in the win.
Kalani Thomas had 12 points to lead MCC.
N-Trip returns home at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday for a WNYAC contest vs. Jamestown Community College.
