Carnie lifts NCCC past Gannon JV

Sophomore heavyweight David Carnie picked up a 5-1 decision to lead Niagara County Community College to a 26-21 win over Gannon JV on Wednesday night at Jamestown CC. 

NCCC also swept the lightweights with wins from freshmen Matt Genau (125 pounds, 16-1, technical fall), C.J. Walz (133 pounds, 18-1, technical fall) and Jacob Bell (141 pounds, 12-0, major decision).

Sophomore standout Troy Keller, meanwhile, picked up a win via pinfall at 174 pounds and classmate Jaelen Jean was a 7-2 winner at 165 pounds.

Next up for the Thunderwolves is Saturday's Northeast District I Duals.
