NCCC rolls past Saints

Niagara County Community College cruised to a 43-6 Region III victory over visiting Mercyhurst North East on Wednesday night at North Tonawanda High School. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 17 in the latest NJCAA poll, improve to 12-4 in dual meets this season.

Freshman C.J. Walz continued his strong performance of late with a pinfall just 28 seconds into his match at 133 pounds. Walz improves to 13-5 on the season. Eight of his victories have come by pin.

Winners by decision for NCCC were: David Carnie (285), John Riena (149), Steven Kapuscinski (157) and Troy Keller (184). 

Next up for the T-Wolves is the Jamestown CC Duals at 7 p.m. Saturday.
