Keller picks up trio of wins at Oneonta

Even a broken nose could not slow Niagara County Community College sophomore Troy Keller down at this past weekend's SUNY Oneonta Duals. The 165-pounder swept through his three matches against four-year opponents to improve to 24-3 on the season.

In a 40-8 loss to Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Keller earned an 18-1 technical-fall victory. Also against WPI, sophomore heavyweight David Carnie picked up a quality 3-2 decision.

Keller scored NCCC's lone points in a 46-4 setback against Johnson & Wales with a major decision. He followed that up with another technical fall - his 16th of the season - in a 42-8 loss vs. Castleton. Also against Castleton, NCCC freshman Matt Genau won a 13-9 decision at 125 pounds.

A majority of the Thunderwolves roster will rest through the holidays, while Keller will test himself against NCAA Div. I, II and III opponents at the Cleveland State Open.
