A last-minute schedule change didn't affect Niagara County Community College as it had six champions at this past weekend's Alfred State Pioneer Open. The Thunderwolves had 12 wrestlers place in the event, which included both junior college and NCAA opponents.

Freshman Jacob Bell took first at 141 pounds on his way to Most Outstanding Wrestler honors. Also finishing first for NCCC were Greg Quinn (125), C.J. Walz (133), Katrell Jackson (149), Adam Mateo (174) and Sergio Crespo (184). Michael Phelps (157) was second, Matt Gawron (133) and Jacob Garrow (165) were third and Anthony Robinson (285) took fourth.

Next up for the T-Wolves is a home dual meet against Western New York Athletic Conference rival Jamestown Community College. Action is set to begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
