NCCC beats rival Jayhawks for second time

Niagara County Community College wrapped up the dual-meet portion of its season with a 39-12 victory over visiting Western New York Athletic Conference rival Jamestown Community College on Wednesday night.

The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 16 in the latest NJCAA poll, went 5-3 overall and 2-0 in conference duals this season. No. 19 JCC slipped to 4-7, 0-2.

NCCC sophomore Frankie Gissendaner improved to 12-0 on the year with a pin of James Rankin at 149 pounds. 

Also for N-Trip, which benefitted from four wins via forfeit, sophomore David Crow won a 13-6 decision over Andrew Bungar at 157 pounds.

The T-Wolves retun to the mats at 10 a.m. Feb. 19 for the annual Eastern A District Championships hosted by Jamestown Community College.
