Alexa Caputo's team-high fifth goal of the season wasn't enough as Niagara County Community College dropped a 3-1 decision to host Jamestown CC in Region III action Saturday afternoon. NCCC drops to 0-13 overall and 0-9 in regional play.
Caputo, a freshman striker, found the back of the net with 30 seconds remaining in regulation. Classmate Lindsey Gee had the assist.
Freshman goalkeeper Courtney Kaczor was credited with 10 saves, giving her 102 on the season.
Julia Anderson, Kenya Stanton and Katie Andalora scored for the Jayhawks (4-9).
Next up for the Thunderwolves is a trip to Corning CC's new turf stadium. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday.
