Niagara County Community College fell behind 9-0 at the half en route to a 12-1 home defeat at the hands of rival Erie Community College on Wednesday. The Thunderwolves dropped to 1-8 overall and 1-7 in Region III play.
Sophomore striker Alexa Caputo netted her team-high ninth goal of the year late in the game off a pass from freshman Riley Osier. Sophomores Courtney Kaczor and Hannah Travis combined for 14 saves in net. Erie CC was led by Abbey Lombard, who netted five goals in the win.
Next up for the T-Wolves is a trip to Hudson Valley CC. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. Friday.
