NCCC shut out by Jayhawks

Coming off its first win since 2014, Niagara County Community College was not able to continue its win streak on Wednesday. The visiting Thunderwolves dropped a 12-0 Region III decision to Western New York Athletic Conference rival Jamestown CC. NCCC is now 1-2 both overall and in regional action.

The Thunderwolves fell behind 4-0 in the opening 14 minutes and could not recover. JCC, which was led by Tayler Morrison's four goals and two assists, controlled possession throughout and held a 46-9 advantage in shots.

For NCCC, sophomore goalkeeper Hannah Travis made 15 saves and sophomore forward Alexa Caputo recorded five shots with three of them reaching the opposing netminder.

Next up for the T-Wolves is a home Region III date with SUNY Broome. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Saturday.
