NCCC drops two games on Labor Day Weekend

Niagara County Community College was shut out in a pair of games this past weekend, dropping its overall record to 1-4. The Thunderwolves are next in action at 3 p.m. Wednesday when they host Tompkins-Cortland CC.

Sophomore goalkeeper Hannah Travis was busy throughout, finishing with 10 saves in the Region III loss. The T-Wolves were out-shot, 37-4. Kaelyn Michitti had a team-high four goals for the Hornets.

CCBC Essex 10, Niagara CCC 0

The Thunderwolves fell behind 3-0 in the opening 10 minutes and never recovered in the non-conference matchup. Travis racked up 20 saves as the hosts were out-shot, 41-11. Sophomore Alexa Caputo finished with a team-best six shots-on-goal, but none found the back of the net.
