Niagara County Community College battled to a 2-2 draw with visiting Mercyhurst North East in Region III inter-divisional play Saturday afternoon. The Thunderwolves moved to 1-8-1 on the season.
Freshman Olivia Hecei opened the scoring for NCCC when she converted a feed from classmate Alexis Fyock. Fyock made it 2-0 in favor of the host T-Wolves when she hammered home a free kick just two minutes later. The Saints, though, came back with a pair of late second-half goals to earn the tie. NCCC freshman goalkeeper Marguerite Loughrey was credited with seven saves.
NCCC wraps up the road portion of its schedule at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when it travels to Corning CC.
