Niagara County Community College fell to unbeaten visitor SUNY Broome, 9-0, in Region III action on Saturday afternoon. The Thunderwolves, who are nursing several key injuries, are 0-3 on the young season.
The Hornets, who improved to 4-0, jumped out to a big 6-0 lead at the half. SUNY Broome held a decided 30-9 edge in shots. NCCC sophomore goalkeeper Halie Hambruch finished with seven saves, while being peppered with shots throughout.
Next up for the T-Wolves is a home contest with Tompkins-Cortland CC (0-1-2). Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
