Host Niagara County Community College put forth its best effort of the season in a 5-1 thrashing of Region III rival Finger Lakes Community College on Wednesday afternoon. The Thunderwolves are now 2-7 on the year and will wrap up their season with another home game against Corning Community College next Wednesday.
Sophomore Alexis Fyock helped NCCC jump out to a 2-0 lead at the half with a pair of first-half goals. She also assisted on all three second-half tallies - one each from sophomore Olivia Hecei, sophomore Kayla Neumann and freshman Kaleigh Kuzma. Fyock now has a team-high 23 points on the year.
