NCCC falls to Tribunes in WNYAC play

Visiting Niagara County Community College gave up nine unanswered goals in a 10-2 Western New York Athletic Conference setback to NJCAA Division I Monroe Community College on Sunday afternoon.

The Thunderwolves fell to 7-3 overall, while the Tribunes improved to 6-7.

NCCC freshmen Kara Seguin and Georgia Dammann each netted an unassisted goal in the first 12 minutes of the game to give the Thunderwolves a 2-1 lead.

The Tribunes, though, would score nine straight goals led by a hat trick from Sierra Edwards.

N-Trip goalkeeper Madison Austin, playing in her first game in over a month due to illness, made 10 saves in net.

The same two teams will close out the regular season in a non-conference matchup at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at NCCC.
