Niagara County Community College picked up its first win of the year and finished 1-2 overall at this past weekend's Region III pod hosted by Fulton-Montgomery CC. NCCC is now 1-3 on the year with a trio of regional pod matches slated for Saturday at Erie CC.

Freshmen Lauren Wills and Jenna Faulkner combined for 13 kills in the 25-10, 25-20, 25-19 win. Classmate Leanne Lettow had 20 assists.
Fulton-Montgomery CC 3, Niagara CCC 0
Sophomore Kelsi Palistrant and freshman Katie Thompson teamed up for 10 digs as the Thunderwolves were swept, 10-25, 12-25, 18-25.
Mohawk Valley CC 3, Niagara CCC 2
Lettow had 30 assists and seven digs in the heartbreaking 22-25, 22-25, 25-23, 26-24, 12-15 defeat. Faulkner ripped 16 kills, Wills notched 12 kills and eight digs and Palistrant had 13 digs.
