Niagara County Community College picked up one victory at this past weekend's Region III pod hosted by Jamestown CC. The Thunderwolves are now 4-7 overall and 4-6 in regional play. Next up is a regional tilt at Monroe CC. First serve is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Finger Lakes CC 22-25-25-25, Niagara CCC 25-8-18-14
Freshmen Emma Okoniewski and Jenna Faulkner combined for 21 kills in a four-set loss. Classmate Leanne Lettow notched 25 assists.
Monroe CC 25-25-25, Niagara CCC 12-23-7
Freshman Lauren Wills had a team-high seven kills and Lettow added 11 assists and six digs in the straight-set defeat.
Niagara CCC 25-25-23-25, Genesee CC 17-17-25-13
Wills ripped 15 kills and sophomore Kelsi Palistrant added 11 kills in the four-set victory. Lettow had 32 assists and sophomore Rachel Buzzard recorded a career-high nine digs.
