NCCC dropped by rival Kats

Niagara County Community College fell in three sets to Western New York Athletic Conference rival Erie Community College on Thursday night. The scores were 25-17, 25-10, 26-24 in favor of the host Kats, who improved to 16-3. NCCC, meanwhile, dropped to 2-14 on the season.

Freshman Shannon Holt had a team-high 10 kills, while classmate Madison Phillips put down eight of her own. Sophomore Lauren Wills finished with 20 assists and freshman Madison Finn added nine digs in defeat.

Next up for the Thunderwolves is a WNYAC showdown with Genesee Community College. The match is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday at GCC's Batavia campus.
