NCCC drops three close sets to Cougars

Niagara County Community College dropped three close sets to host Genesee Community College in Western New York Athletic Conference play on Tuesday night. The scores were 25-22, 25-23 and 25-18 in favor of the Cougars (9-13). NCCC, meanwhile, drops to 2-15 on the season.

According to head coach Lindsay Matikosh, a trio of freshmen led the Thunderwolves - Brynn Vandermast (3 kills), Shannon Holt (5 digs) and Braillen Hare (3 aces). 

NCCC will host Jefferson CC, Onondaga CC and Cayuga CC for three pod matches beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday. The WNYAC Tournament, which is slated for Oct. 21 at Genesee CC, will round out the schedule.
