Thunderwolves earn first win at HVCC pod

Niagara County Community College picked up its first win of the season at this past weekend's Region III pod action hosted by Hudson Valley Community College. The Thunderwolves are now 1-6 heading into Tuesday's road tilt at Mercyhurst North East.

Niagara CCC 27-25-25, North Country CC 25-20-13

Sophomore Lauren Wills had seven kills and 34 assists in the three-set sweep. Freshman Madison Phillips had a team-high 13 kills and classmate Shannon Holt added eight kills and four digs. Fellow first-year player Skye Dailey finished with six kills.

SUNY Adirondack 25-25-25, Niagara CCC 11-11-22

Wills had 12 assists and freshman Caitlyn Vishion put down five kills in the straight-set setback.

Hudson Valley CC 25-25-25, Niagara CCC 11-20-21

Phillips ripped eight kills, Wills notched 14 assists and freshman Braillen Hare had eight digs in the three-set loss.
