NCCC falls in four sets to rival Kats

Niagara County Community College dropped a hard-fought, four-set match to host Erie Community College in Western New York Athletic Conference action on Tuesday night. The scores were: 25-21, 25-18, 21-25, 25-20. The Thunderwolves are now 0-2 on the young season.

Sophomore Maddie Phillips led the NCCC offense with 11 kills. She also had 14 digs. Classmate Jessi Wood put down eight kills and freshman Allysa Prytula added five kills, three service aces and three solo blocks. Sophomore McKenna Collignon notched 27 assists and freshman Samantha Chilcott chipped in with 18 digs and seven assists in defeat.

Next up for the T-Wolves is their first regional pod of the year. NCCC will host Herkimer College, Fulton-Montgomery Community College and Mohawk Valley Community College beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday.
