NCCC spikers drop home finale

Niagara County Community College dropped a four-set Western New York Athletic Conference matchup with visiting Monroe Community College on Tuesday night. The scores were: 25-10, 25-6, 21-25, 25-18. It was the final home regular-season match of the season for the Thunderwolves, who fell to 1-5 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

Sophomore Maddie Phillips led NCCC with 10 kills and nine digs, while classmate Jessica Cruz-Jackson added seven kills and 10 digs. Second-year setter McKenna Collignon had 19 assists and 10 digs.

Head coach Lindsay Matikosh also credited freshmen Jenn Myers, Brooke Wisor and Sarah Syracuse for coming off the bench to spark the T-Wolves in the third set. The trio combined for three kills, six digs and 19 service receptions. 

Next up for N-Trip is this weekend's regional pod play, slated for Saturday at North Country Community College.
