HERKIMER DEFEATS NIAGARA CCC 96-82 IN PHILLY CLASSIC

Herkimer, NY - Another day, another comeback win for the Herkimer Men's Basketball team.

Trailing by 12 points early in the game and by 6 at the half, the #2 Nationally Ranked Herkimer Generals earned their second come from behind win in as many days with a 96-82 win over Division II Niagara County Community College on Sunday afternoon in the second day of the Philly Classic at Herkimer College. The win improves the Generals record to 12-1 on the season.

Derrick Felder (Yonkers, NY) led five Herkimer players in double figures with 22 points in the win. Teshaun Beckles (Bronx, NY) scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half and Arnold Agard (Brooklyn, NY) added 15 points, which included a perfect 10-10 from the free throw line. Jaymes Jackson (Brooklyn, NY) scored all 10 of his points in the second half and Keshaun Howard (Brooklyn, NY) once again came off the bench to score in double digits, adding 10 points as well. The Generals went 39-47 from the free throw line to clinch the 14 point victory as they outscored Niagara 58-38 in the second half.

Herkimer will play its third Division II opponent in four days on Tuesday afternoon, January 15th as they will host Genesee Community College in the Herkimer Varsity Gym. The tip off time on Tuesday is set for 3:00 PM.
