SANBORN, NY - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) women's soccer team suffered a heartbreaker at the feet of SUNY Niagara, losing 3-2 with just minutes left on the clock.
Jamestown fell behind early after Niagara scored in the 14th minutes to make it 1-0 for the home team.
JCC was able to quickly even things up with freshman Teagan Kosinski found the back of the net.
The Jayhawks took a lead in the 39th minute when freshman Amara Pacheco barried a penalty kick after a Niagara handball to make it 2-1.
The lead was shortlived, with the Thunderwolves scoring just before the half to even things up once again.
There was no scoring for the first 42 minutes of the second frame, but it was Niagara breaking through to take a 3-2 lead and close out the one-goal win.
The loss drops JCC to 1-8 on the season.
They are back on the pitch in Jamestown on Saturday, October 12th, for sophomore day at 3:30 PM.
