Jayhawks Silence Thunderwolves in 7-0 Win

SANBURN, NY - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) men's soccer team made it three wins in four games for the month of October when they took down SUNY Nigara 7-0.

Jamestown opened on a torrid pace, with David Luque scoring three goals in the first 14 minutes of the game to build an early 3-0 lead for JCC. It was Dominique Malhomme assisting on a pair of the tallies, with the other coming unassisted.

Calum Stewart joined the scoring party before half to make it a four-goal advantage for the road team going to the break.

The second stanza started much like the first, with Luque potting another goal to push his program record to 29 goals and another record of 76 career points.

Sitting with a 5-0 lead at the 56th minute, Malhomme got in on the action with a pair of scores in a five-minute span to further the lead to 7-0.

In net, Cian Galvin stopped all 18 shots he faced to secure the clean sheet.

The win moves JCC to 7-6-1 overall and 5-3-1 in Region 3 play.

JCC is back on the pitch Saturday, October 12th, when they host Finger Lakes Community College at 1:00 PM as part of sophomore day.
