Cougars Lose Close Game at Niagara

SANBORN, NY… The Genesee Community College men's basketball team came up short on Thursday night, as the Niagara County Community College Thunderwolves broke the Cougars hearts with a 66-64 victory. The Cougars record moves to 12-11 on the season with a 3-4 record in conference play.

Jarett Haines led the way for Genesee scoring a game-high 27 points. Jamir Cheek scored 12 points and dished out four assists. Souleymane Gueye scored eight points while collecting nine rebounds. Brandon Speller, Javin Williams, and Brian Russell also scored points for the Cougars in a game that stayed close throughout the entire contest.  

Genesee is back in action on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm as they travel to Henrietta, NY to play the Monroe Community College Tribunes in a pivotal Western New York Athletic Conference contest.
