Jayhawks Downed By the Thunderwolves in Conference Action

FALCONER - Looking to keep their momentum from a day ago, the Jamestown Community College women's soccer team fell to Niagara County Community College, 3-0 Sunday afternoon.

 

The Jayhawks (2-4, 0-1 WNYAC) held strong in the first half of action, playing the Thunderwolves to a 0-0 score going into halftime.

 

NCCC came out of the half and scored a quick goal in the 46th minute of action. The Thunderwolves extended their lead to 2-0 in the 62nd minute followed by a goal in the 81st minute.

 

JCC had some opportunities with freshman midfielder Emma Fox (Port Allegany, PA/Port Allegany HS) and freshman midfielder/forward Jaclyn Bush (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown HS) had a team-high two shots on goal.

 

Freshman goalkeeper Lizzie Gordon (Corry, PA/Corry Area HS) was busy in the net, making 19 saves in the loss.

 

The Jayhawks will be back in action Wednesday, September 22nd, as they travel to Monroe Community College for a 2 p.m. start.
