The Hawks were defeated at home by Niagara County Community College on Sunday January 16th 41-75. 

Alexandra Henderson (Smithsburg, MD) led the team with 15 points, 5 assists, and 6 rebounds. Saidat Abbas (Glenn Dale, MD) and Ashley Davis (Smithsburg, MD) each contributed 9 points. 

The Hawks edged to within 7 points after the first quarter, but the Thunder Wolves came out hot in the second quarter outscoring the Hawks, 22-6, making the score 39-16 at half.  The Hawks created some momentum in the second half, putting up 25 points compared to their 16 points in the first half, but the Thunder Wolves didnt let up, taking the Hawks down, 41-75. 

The Womens Basketball team will be back in action at home on Monday, January 24th vs Montgomery Community College, tip-off 5:30 p.m.
