SANBORN, NY… The Genesee Community College men's basketball team lost their second straight contest on Wednesday night, coming up short against the host Niagara County Community College Thunderwolves 95-87.
Jalen Willis scored a team-high 20 points while collecting six rebounds and dishing out three assists. Anthony Gray scored 13 points on 5-7 shooting and collected three rebounds. Elijah Pichardo scored 10 points while being a perfect four-for-four from the free-throw line. The Cougars bench players outscored the Thunderwolves bench 52-23 in the contest.
After trailing by 17 points to start the second half, the Cougars outscored the Thunderwolves in the final period 52-43 but came up short, falling on the road at Niagara for the third consecutive time.
Genesee (2-3) returns to the court on Friday night as they host Jamestown Community College. The opening tip is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
