Women's Soccer Scores 14 Goals En Route to First Win of Season over Niagara

HERKIMER, NY -- The Generals Women's Soccer team bounced back emphatically after its first loss of the 2023 campaign, scoring 14 goals against Niagara CC in a Saturday afternoon contest. Herkimer (1-1) improves to 6-1-1 at home sinvce the beginning of last season.

Goals Galore!

14 goals is the most Herkimer has scored in a game in at least 20 years. Additionally, it's just the 10th time since 2005 that the program has scored double-digit goals in a single game.

Eight players scored their first career college goals, including Kadence York, Sarah Davis, Kimora Brown, Anderson Eggleston, Haylie Buysse, Dakota Quick, Olivia Friend and Siera Jacques. It's the most "first career goals" scored by a Herkimer team in at least 20 years.

The Generals enjoy a week off before heading to Jamestown CC to take on the Jayhawks (1-1) for the first of three consecutive road games. Kickoff is set for 3:00 PM on Saturday, Sept. 10.
