
SUNY Niagara Tops Men’s Basketball, 93-68
FCC Cougars men's basketball team suffered a tough 93-68 defeat against a nationally ranked SUNY Niagara on January 18, dropping their record to 4-10. Despite a competitive first half, the Cougars were unable to keep pace in the second, as SUNY Niagara Thunder Wolves pulled away, shooting 50% from three.
Frederick started strong, trailing by just five points at halftime, 42-37. However, SUNY Niagara caught fire from beyond the arc, hitting 18 three-pointers, while Frederick struggled to convert on their opportunities, shooting just 29.6% from the field. Kentavious Dancy led the Cougars with 17 points, going a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line. Randolph Johnson added 13 points, including three three-pointers six rebounds and two assists. while Al-Ameen Sanni grabbed eight rebounds and Mike Davis pulled down nine boards.
The Cougars will look to rebound as they hit the road to face Community College CC of Allegheny County on January 21 at 5:00 PM.
