The Erie volleyball team swept POD play at Niagara County Community College on Saturday. The Kats defeated Onondaga Community College 25-4, 25-17 and 25-22 and Niagara County Community College 25-11, 25-9 and 25-17.
Coach Craig Starzynski was especially impressed with sophomore Darion Jonathan who helped keep the offense clicking all day. "It was really great day for us, going 2-0. One step closer to the playoffs. Molly and Charlotte anchored our offense and played great all day," said Starzynski.
Charlotte Mendel had 25 kills and 16 digs while Molly McKinnon finished the day with 22 kills and 14 digs.
The two wins bring the Kats record to 9-3 on the season. They will host POD Play at the Flickinger Center on Saturday, September 30th. They take on Jamestown Community College and Genessee Community College.
