November 23, 2021 - - The Lorain County Community College men's basketball team fell to the Niagara County Community College Thunderwolves Tuesday evening, 114-83. With the loss, the Commodores fall to 2-2 on the young season.
Current Ohio Community College Athletic Conference Player of the Week Rod Harris (Akron, Ohio/Garfield HS) had his first double-double of the season scoring a team-high 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for the Commodores.
Three others scored in double figures for LCCC. Lem Payne (Philadelphia, Pa./Mt. Pleasant HS) had 12 points, including four rebounds and four steals. De'Miko Nelson (Cincinnati, Ohio/DePaul Cristo Rey) scored 15 points off the bench on 6-of-9 shooting. Javon Todd (Lorain, Ohio/Clearview HS) scored 12 points and went 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
Quante May (Lorain, Ohio/Horizon Science Academy) came one basket short of a double-double, but he managed to pull down a game-high 12 rebounds, five coming on the offensive end, to go along with his eight points.
LCCC's men's basketball team will be back on the court at 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 30 when they take on the Jamestown Community College Jayhawks.
