Lakers Improve to 8-4

SANBORN, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Soccer team picked up a 6-4 victory over the Thunderwolves of Niagara County Community College Wednesday night. 

On the day, freshman Chuck Domm (East Rochester, N.Y./ East Rochester) led the Lakers with a hat trick. Sophomore Carson DeVinney (Perry, N.Y./ Perry) got on the board as well with an unassisted goal for the Lakers. From the defensive position Freshman Kayden Servais (Holley, N.Y./ Holley) chipped in a goal while Freshman Evan Stevely (Rochester, N.Y./ Bishop Kearney) converted a penalty kick to round out the scoring for the Lakers.

The Lakers had assists from Gunnar Wetzel (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./ Honeoye Falls-Lima), Russell Domm (East Rochester, N.Y./ East Rochester), Aidan Wood (Keshequa, N.Y./ Keshequa) and Carson Williams (Avon, N.Y./ Avon) 

The Lakers win puts the team at 8-4 on the season as the team looks to build on a 3-game winning streak. In a non-regional matchup, the Lakers are at home Friday, Oct. 8th in a 6 P.M. matchup against the Nazareth College JV.
