Thunderwolves win a pair of tournaments
Niagara County Community College braved rainy conditions to win a pair of tournaments this past weekend. The Thunderwolves now have three team victories to their credit this spring. Next up is a trip to SUNY Adirondack (April 27) and Hudson Valley CC (April 28).
Mohawk Valley CC Invitational
Sophomore Ben Kolbe fired a 78 as NCCC had 334 team strokes at Oneida Community Golf Club. Freshman Carl Graff carded an 83 and classmate Murphy Lang had an 86.
Herkimer College Invitational
The T-Wolves shot a season-low 306 at Mohawk Valley Country Club. Kolbe led the way again with a 72 - good for second-place overall. Sophomore Hogan Lang was 5th with a 75, while Graff had a 79 and sophomore Rich O'Connell added an 80.
* Freshman Emily Neidrauer took home female medalist honors at both events, firing a 103 at Mohawk Valley and a season-best 99 at Herkimer.
