Thunderwolves take down rival Kats

Niagara County Community College built up a 31-point lead after three quarters en route to an 80-60 Western New York Athletic Conference victory over visiting Erie Community College on Saturday. The No. 13 Thunderwolves are now 22-0 overall and 3-0 in conference, while ECC dropped to 5-13, 0-3.

Freshman Paige Emborsky canned six 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 22 points. Sophomore Kenetria Redfern had 16 points, seven rebounds and five steals, freshman Aubrey Halloran notched 15 points and seven boards, sophomore Shilah Parker contributed 13 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and four steals and classmate Cori Dickson dished out 10 assists. NCCC finished with 25 team assists in the win.

Next up for the T-Wolves is a key WNYAC road tilt at Genesee Community College. Tip is set for 5:30 p.m. Monday.
