Niagara County Community College opened up a 35-point halftime lead on its way to a 90-63 Western New York Athletic Conference win over visiting Mercyhurst North East on Wednesday night. The No. 12 Thunderwolves improved to 24-0 overall and 5-0 in WNYAC play. The Saints dropped to 12-7, 1-4.
Sophomore Kenetria Redfern led NCCC with 23 points and 15 rebounds, while freshman Paige Emborsky recorded 22 points and six boards. Sophomore Shilah Parker continued to stuff the stat sheet with 21 points, eight boards and four assists. Freshman Molly Mahony finished with 16 points and eight rebounds off the bench.
Next up for the T-Wolves is a road game at No. 17 Monroe Community College. Tip is set for 1 p.m. Saturday.
