Niagara County Community College overcame a 3-point halftime deficit to earn an 86-65 road victory over perennial NJCAA Division III power Onondaga Community College on Wednesday night. The Thunderwolves, who held a 52-28 edge after intermission, are now 5-0 on the season.
Freshman Paige Emborsky canned five of her game-high six 3-pointers in the second half to spark the comeback. She finished with 23 points, six rebounds and four assists in the win. Sophomore Kenetria Redfern led NCCC with 24 points, seven boards and five assists. Classmate Shilah Parker added 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while freshman Aubrey Halloran chipped in with 12 points and seven boards.
Next up for the T-Wolves is a home date with Howard Community College of Maryland. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. Saturday.
