T-Wolves split at Niagara Duals
Host Niagara County Community College split a pair of non-conference dual matches as part of the annual Niagara Duals this past Friday. The Thunderwolves are now 3-5 in dual meets this season.
Spartanburg Methodist College 29, Niagara CCC 20
Sophomore Freddy Eckles (149) and freshman Katrell Jackson (157) each won via pinfall over the perennial powers from South Carolina. Sophomore C.J. Walz (141) won by technical fall and classmate Michael Phelps (165) was a winner by decision.
Niagara CCC 32, Grand Valley State JV 21
Freshman Russell March (197) and Walz (141) were victorious by pinfall for the T-Wolves, who also benefitted from a pair of forfeits. Eckles (149) won by technical fall and Zach Reed (185) win a tight 6-5 decision.
