Lakers Drop Home Matchup with Thunderwolves

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College men's basketball team continues to search for their first win of the season after a 116-74 loss to Niagara County Tuesday night.

Freshman Alex Hill (Rochester, N.Y./ Fairport) shot 40% from beyond the arc and ended the night with 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists in an overall strong performance on the night. Teammates Michael Morgan (Rochester, N.Y./ Edison Tech) and Danny Amador (Naples, F.L./ Palmetto Ridge) eached pour in 13 points to follow up in the scoring column. Morgan added 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and a steal to his tally, while Amador had a strong night, finishing just shy of a double-double with 8 assist to go along with 1 rebound.

Freshman Pacey Hopkins (Avoca, N.Y./ Avoca) earned the start, finishing with 6 points and 2 rebounds. Freshman Noah White (Rochester, N.Y./ Edison Tech) came off the bench as a spark plug for the offense, including a hammer in the second-half off from a feed from high school teammate Michael Morgan. White ended the night with 12 points, 6 rebounds ,and 3 assists in 25 minutes played; shooting an efficent 75% from the field.

Other contributors for the Lakers included Frankie Oropeza (Rochester, N.Y./ Greece Athena) with 6 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist, along with Arona Mane (Bronx, N.Y./ William Grady) with 5 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist. 

The Lakers will be at home for their next contest after Thanksgiving break against the SUNY Broome Hornets on November 29th.
