Lakers Struggle in Rematch with Thunderwolves

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - The No. 14 ranked Finger Lakes Community College baseball squad got another crack at the No. 4 ranked Niagara County team after splitting a doubleheader last Thursday. The Lakers fell 10-0 in the first game and 4-1 in the second game.

In the first game, the Lakers (19-5, 6-0) struggled against Thunderwolves pitcher Hunter Loomis. Sophomore Kenny Murphy (Webster, N.Y./ Webster Schroeder) picked up the lone hit for the team, a double into left centerfield during the top of the fifth inning.

The second game, FLCC answered Niagara's first run in the third with a run of their own in the top of the fourth. Matthew DiSanti (Farmingdale, N.Y./ Farmingdale) drove in Danny Melendez (Victor, N.Y./ Victor) with a sacrifice fly.

The Lakers will regroup and looks to get back on track this Thursday, April 6th on the road at Erie Community College who Lakers split their previous doubleheader with.
