Niagara County Community College went on the road and swept a doubleheader from Western New York Athletic Conference rival Monroe Community College on Tuesday afternoon. The Thunderwolves are now 11-1 on the young season with a four-game Region III series scheduled for this coming weekend at Corning Community College.

Sophomore pitcher Ryan Birchard allowed just three hits and struck out 12 in the five-inning victory. Freshman Andrew Stillinger was 3-for-4 with four RBIs, while sophomore Alex Minnehan finished 3-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored.
Niagara CCC 7, Monroe CC 4
Freshman Matthew Procopio broke the game open with a grand slam in the fifth inning. Sophomore Conner Hoehman added an RBI double and classmate Bradyn Coletta struck out nine batters in 4.1 innings of work.
