Niagara County Community College racked up 17 hits and escaped with a 13-12 Region III road victory over Tompkins-Cortland Community College on Sunday afternoon. NCCC improved to 26-5 overall and 12-3 in Western division action. Game two of the doubleheader was washed out and re-scheduled for 4 p.m. Thurs. May 4 at TC3.

Freshman Steven Merkel was 3-for-3 with an RBI, while freshman Andrew Stillinger finished 3-for-5 and drove in two runs for the T-Wolves, who once led 11-1. Sophomore Alex Minnehan added three hits, the tandem of sophomore Conner Hoehman and freshman Matthew Procopio added two RBIs and two runs each and second-year player Howard Stuckey scored three runs.
