SUNY Niagara got a pair of tremendous pitching performances, but could only muster a split with host Finger Lakes Community College in Region III action on Sunday afternoon. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 6 in the latest NJCAA Div. III poll, are now 36-8 overall and 20-2 in regional Western Division play. The same two teams will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sal Maglie Stadium.

The T-Wolves were kept off balance throughout as sophomore Nicholas Schulz had the team's lone hit - an RBI double. Sophomore Andrew Damiani threw six innings and had nine strikeouts in the loss.

Sophomore Andrew Johnson tossed a one-hitter with five Ks to improve to 5-1 on the year. Freshman Braden Hill was 2-for-4 with a home run, triple, three RBIs and two runs scored to lead the offense. Freshman Keygan Miksa went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored, sophomore Owen Silliman was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and freshman Weston Thompson added two hits and two runs scored.
