NCCC hosts Shoot for a Cure game

Niagara County Community College dropped a 5-1 UNYCHL decision to visiting University at Buffalo in its annual Shoot for a Cure Breast Cancer Awareness game on Monday night at Hyde Park. The Thunderwolves dropped to 4-2 on the season.

The game was tied at one heading to the third period before Noah Lamie netted the game winner - his second of the contest. Cameron Bass, Jaret Pawarski and Shane Tyrie followed that up with a goal apiece in a 106-second span. Ryan O'Donnell was the winning goaltender.

Gavin Cerrillo scored the lone N-Trip goal with assists from Joe LoBrutto and Kyle Quintern. Austin Bailor took the loss in net.

During the second intermission, NCCC Athletics, Student Life & Alumni were joined by captains Caleb Lee, Chuckie Schmidl and Spencer Hrynczak for a presentation of a check for $1,540.34 to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. 

The T-Wolves return to the ice at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Fredonia State.
